Spring

New from the past few weeks
1. I got accepted to the ACTR program, so I will be in St. Petersburg from June 6th-August 8th this summer :D Robyn will be there, too. And we both have scholarships to help pay for it.
2. Word is that my parents and I are going to be travelling for 10 days after the program. At this point we're looking into going to Petrozavodsk, Nizhni Novogorod and/or Kazan.
3. My friend Jack and his parents (from the UK) are going to come visit while I'm in St. Petersburg...YAY!!!
4. It is finally, finally spring here. Its been in the 70's and 80's the past week and absolutely beautiful. Everywhere I go I'm struck by how many happy, attractive people I see...it appears that all the Grinnellians are coming out of hibernation. Flowers are blooming everywhere--I'll post some pretty pictures soon.
5. This weekend was absolutely insane. While I would love to go into it (actually I would love to have my Chile gossipy girl squad here to talk about it with) I wont. In a word: boys. Why are they all going crazy and why do I have no idea what is going on?
6. Tornado season is here. Luckily I live underground so even if the rest of the world is swiped away I'll remain untouched in my hideous, dark little room.
7. Jaime, Tyler, LA, and I recently signed our lease to live off-campus next year. Exciting. Especially since we have been getting along excellently.
