Photos from our visit to the Toledo paper studio and the nearby art museum. This was in a tiny town outside of Oaxaca city.
Driving through town on the way there, not really expecting much...
The gorgeous local art museum. The pink fountain is dyed with the local cochineal dye
I liked the squashed pots...
& local black pottery

That guy looking at Toledo's paper with Lea and me is Pablo Gonzalez Marsch, our tour guide in Oaxaca. He also owned the fabulous house, Casa de La Paz, that we rented. If anyone is interested, google his name and Oaxaca to get his web site--we guarantee you that you will enjoy his tours! He is very intelligent and well spoken; he will take you to well known sites or to little out-of-the-way places; his recommendations for restaurants and things to see on your own around town are excellent; it was a pleasure to spend time with him!
